Dangerous Accleration when Braking

Car is a 2005 S60 AWD -
Just today 2/17, after a fairly cold night (Temps were down to 15F - 20F)I am having a problem when I depress the brake pedalthe car engine accelerates dramatically. Luckily the brake also engages so no damage has occurred and I was able to shift into neutral. But when I did this the engine kept revving up and wouldn't idle down so I had to shut the engine off. This is a really dangerous problem, much like I heard Audi's had several years ago.
I will get the car into my dealer tomorrow but has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Rich
