Default Dipped Beam Failure not the lightbulb. Help.

Hi all,

I have a 2001 S60 2.4T and I am having a problem with my passenger side headlight.

I got the "Dipped Beam Failure " message and it appeared the bulb had burned out so, it was replaced. It still did not work so I did a voltage check and only got 0.34v.

Is this the correct voltage?

What should I look for to fix this since it is evidently not the bulb?

Thanks

It's not unheard of for the bulb connector to fail. If you see any discoloration or oxidation or melting it's obvious that the plug is bad. The dealership should be able to sell you a new one.

Yes, you are correct the connector's metal plugs look as if they were burned in a fire. I will get a new connector and let you know how it works out.

Thanks for the help.
