Default Drivers Side Headlight Random On Off On Off On Off On...

Driving in the evening, seems that the drivers side headlight ( non - high beam ) will flip on and off at random giving the warning on the display headlight out. Currently the setting is set to lighting outside so its automatic, but does so even with the switch set to ON and at all times, not just early evening.
I will turn the switch to off, then back to on and it will stay for a bit, and at random come on and then off again at different intervals or time. ( random )
I've gone in there and made sure that the connections are good and tight, no water in the lamp or lens and still she tells me that it's randomly turning off and on...

06 S60R BTW...

Suggestions?

All the bulbs within a headlight assembly use a common ground. If possible, turn on your high-beams and see if they flicker too. You might want to do that by flexing the wiring in the engine compartment by hand. If low and high flicker then it is a bad or loose ground wire, but if only the low beam flickers you can narrow your search to the power wire for that bulb.

If neither flicker at any time, then the problem may be closer to the Central Equipment Module, which **I think** is located behind the dash in the driver's leg area.

Do you have Bi-Xenon or normal lights?

If the wiring is good, then it may be a failing ballast. That's all I can think of since I have never messed around with HID lights.
