Red face ?Electrical issues

Hi everyone I am pretty new to the site and have been perusing through the posts trying to glean bits of useful info but it has become a bit of an issue of information overload !!!! I have been the proud owner of my 02 S60 D5 for 5 years and until recently have been very fortunate to have no issues other than wear and tear ie tyres etc. I had the ball joints and wixhbones done but then I had the isssue of cutting out and the dagnostic revealed fuel pressure prob.
I replaced one injector as it was running slow and fortunately it was not the actual turbo but a 'govenor' as the garage called it but the bill was not cheap. Having got it back Christmas eve, when driving a few days ago the instrument panel blacked out. When restarting the car on dashboard was only the seatbelt and engine symbol which both went off as normal. I returned to the clinic and when going back to car nearly 2 hours later the dashboard came back including SRS message but then when driving all dash went off again. Over the last few days the instruments sometimes freeze eg at 20mph 2000 revs etc and the panel does not dim with dimmer dial. The mainbeam indicator lights up and the car runs fine. The latest is that if it is frozen the panel remains lit up on turning the car off, getting out and locking. These issues have not helped as when reading through post none mention this last issue. I have noted the recommendations with regard to cluster repair/replacement, the relevant fuses seem fine though changed just in case. Will check all fuses starting tomorrow but difficult to take car off road with needing for work as in community nursing and have just had enforced holiday with last repair. Knew I should have looked more into mechanical engineering rather than human as I love the car......Sorry for the novel !!!
