Default S70 electrical issues

Hi all,

Just a few questions, I have a 97 S70 with the following issues:-
- drivers door doesnt always unlock/lock with remote;
- rear passengers door doesnt always unlock/lock with remote; and
- the front electric window switches only wind down the back windows, they wont wind them back up! but they will with the back door switches.

Are these realatively easy problems to fix, or should I learn to live with them?

Thanks

The door locks are bad when they do that.
The master window switch is bad as well.
The master switch is easy to replace.
The rear door lock is easy.
The drivers is kind of a pain the outer handle has to come loose as well.

Thanks for your reply,

Is there any trick to getting out the drivers lock, already tried once and got nowhere.

Thanks

Did you remove the outer door handle?
The rod for the lock cylinder goes into the door lock.

Also on the drivers you will most likely have to remove the window guide.
Some are screwed in others are riveted in.

No we didnt remove the outer handle, now i think about it I dont now why I diddnt.

Well I dont have to worry about the guide, it was broken off and laying in the bottom of the door, Im not quite sure how that could happen but I have to try and track down another one for it.

Thanks heaps for your words of wisdom
