Elevate lowering springs
Hey guys, i have a volvo 2004 s60r gt. I was wondering if i were to put in the elevate lowering springs if it would effect the active chassy at all. Also i have 500 dollars to spend and i was wondering what thoughts you guys could give me on upgrades. Hear are a list of things that are already done to the car.
-elevate engine mount bushings
-volvo factory body kit
-volvo winglets
-ipd's upper engine mount bushings
-vst strut brace
-spacers
-custom exhuast
-intake
-vst rear spoiler and roof spoiler
-ipd trac spec sway bars
-ipd heavy duty end links
Thoughts on any type of upgrades are appreciated.

It wont mess up the 4C suspension on the R's. It will however make the ride harsher in all modes. Comfort is still pretty comfy, sport is what advanced use to be, and advanced is bone jarring on all but the smoothest of roads. I've been running Eibach sport springs for over 2 years now with 15mm spacers on the rear without any issues with the 4C. You will have to go to a dealer and have your SUM re-calibrated to the new ride height so your headlights will work properly. Lots of info about lowering the R's on Swedespeed's R Forum.
What intake do you have??? I just installed SNABB's post MAF to turbo intake pipe on Friday and It complement's my B-Line intake very well. Quicker throttle response, faster turbo spool up, and you can really hear the turbo spooling as well as CBV recirculating the air. (http://snabb.3dcartstores.com/Perfor...S60R_p_36.html)
Sounds like you've done a lot to the car already, It might be time to go for some bigger ticket items...
-Downpipe
-Tune (love my iPd stage II tune)
-PhMIC (http://phuzzymotorsports.com/index.p...od&productId=1)
A couple smaller items, that I'd pick up would be...
ViVA/Forge's heavy Duty CBV.
Vacuum lines, to replace ALL your vacuum lines.
SNABB's Post MAF intake pipe.
Hope this helps you out some.

I have been thinking about a tune, but my only worries are that the transmission may be hurt by getting a tune and removing the torque limiter. Also how much does it cost for volvo to recalibrate the headlights.
You can get the tune with out removing the torque limiter.
It's the Suspension control module that needs to be recalibrate (SUM). It effects the headlights as well as the rest of the active chassis. Some dealers might charge 1/2 hour labor for the calibration. There's no software that needs to be down loaded or anything. They simply plug the car into VIDA, access the suspension module and recalibrate it. Should only take them 15 minuets tops. I had a dealer do it for free cause they were slow and I've spent a bit of money there.
I really like the performance effects of the post MAF intake pipe.

It should. All it's doing is replacing the plastic MAF to turbo pipe that's on your car now.
Here are some pictures on the install....

IIRC, it was suppose to be $800. I got a bit of a discount though because I Purchased a few other things at the same time. I also opted to just drive down to Portland to have them tune my car there at there shop instead of going the softloder route.
