Default Engine Conversion Petrol to Diesel.

G'day people, new to the forum, I am a wrecker in Australia and do a few 2012 Volvo f series, v60 s60. The car in Question was a 2012 v60 t4, unfortunately the dreaded power**** transmission was kaput, and I had a s60 d3 car I used for a parts car, so in my wisdom started the conversion, wht you may ask, why not, better fuel economy with the diesel, more power, so out comes the b416t4 along with the whole engine loom, dropped the frame out the bottom ready for the t520t3 all went well fitting the engine back in, along with the fuel tank lines etc, and with Volvo wisdom the wiring loom was already the correct loom for the diesel tank, even though the wires were redundant with the petrol engine, saved me a heap of interior tome swapping out the looms under the carpet, all pretty straight forward,

Until the start up, yes I changed the ECU, BCM, electronic key reader behind the fob slot, started right up then stopped, so while searching for a solution on the internet I couldn't find why the immobilizer was active, until I fell upon this forum in regards the the steering lock module, so back to the donor I retrieved the module and fitted it and boon back to life but with some warnings on the dash re airbag, so I changed the steering control clock spring and I think it's done,

So my write up is for anyone wanting the do a conversion in the future and gets stuck with start up. All up 16 man hours, very happy with the outcome.
