So, I bought this Volvo with a bad engine/spun rod bearing. Come to find out that it is the dual advance cam vs. single cam (B5244s) most commonly found used engine. Bought one, is wrong so I'm having to rebuild or use just the block from the single advance engine. Which from what I have researched will work. Nonetheless, the job to take apart all related components and do this right is challenging. I'm buying a camshaft/cam cover tool kit to start and taking apart from there on. I do have mechanical experience and feel up to this task. Nonetheless, is/has anyone doing/done this rebuild/take apart and put together successfully? There is a lot of money and time riding on this rebuild and would appreciate someones knowledge and experience. Thank you
