Engine/Trans swap potentially
Hey everybody. It's been a while.
Sorry to beat a dead horse. A 2001 S60T5 parts car (rear-ended) became available to me and I wanted to share my plans.
I planned on stealing the wheels and complete interior to use in my 2001 S60 NA. But I am debating on whether to go for a complete engine/trans/ecu swap. Maybe I should just stick with my original plans. Does anyone think it is worthwhile to put forth the energy to perform the drivetrain swap? Anyone know what needs to be taken from the donor car?
For anyone wondering why I would go to the trouble of doing any of it in the first place: 1) my car has sentimental value 2) I have put a lot of time and money/parts into it already (can't recoup it) 3) the exterior is in very good shape 4) the interior is looking a little aged and I've never liked the BEIGE interior. The T5 has a black interior.
Thanks for any replies.
