Exhaust
I have the same year/make/model. When it was time for me to replace mine due to rust I went with OBX. It's a quality cat-back fully polished stainless exhaust. Fit and finish is excellent. And it was relatively inexpensive when compared to other systems or even replacing with OEM components. It sounds nice. I have had it for about 1.5 years and it still looks great.
The drawbacks are: it might be a bit loud (to me at least) and it was designed for the turbo models so low-end torque is lost (being a N/A car) but it comes back above 2k RPMs. The last drawback is that every jack@ss is going to want to race you since the car sounds the part.
Other options are to go to a muffler shop and have them weld something together but it'll be ugly.

There might be a slight gain at cruising speed but nothing significant. Stop and go mileage actually suffers IMO because of the lack of back pressure but the difference is minimal. Most gains will come from owners of turbo models where the stock setup is a bit restrictive.
I bought the set designed for turbos because I wanted something nicer than stock yet no one is making kits for the N/A.
