I have a 2009 S60. I need to replace the front struts and have lots of questions.
first: should i get a strut and coil replacment kit or just replace the struts?
secondly: what brands should i be leaning towards. Im not trying to put anything fancy on, just something economical.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Depends on mechanical skill level and how long you plan to keep the car. Complete assemblies are much easier for amateur mechanics. Also, since springs can weaken the complete assembly includes new springs so it can restore original ride height and handling. Both IPD and Rock Auto have decent choices. If you plan to keep the car for many years to come it is almost never a bad choice to pick from the upper end of quality.
