Our S60 has a strange problem. Sometimes when I try to fill up with gas, the fuel immediately streams back out of the filler tube and onto the car. The first Volvo dealer I took it to had no idea what to do, but Segna Motors in Columbus Ohio looked into it for me and found that this problem has been seen before on S60's. According to Volvo, some S60s exibit this problem because the tank is damaged during assembly. I'm not clear on exactly what the problem is: something about the filler tube being insterted to far during assembly, a damaged valve or carbon canister.

The solution is a new tank.
