Default HELP BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE

I pulled in my garage today and turned off the car to hear a weird fan type noise seem to die on me. It then smelled like burnt rubber in the garage. I turned the car back on to see Brake system failure service urgent, my brake light, abs light and src light all on. My brake fluid is almost full, and I took it for a quick spin an it seemed to brake just fine, WHAT THE HECT HAPPENED? Help!!!

Sounds like the ABS module went bad.

For the smell open the hood and look on the top of the engine and you will see a mount. Look and see if the mount is falling apart into peices. If so one might have fallen onto the exhaust.

Hey, dbmiller - The ABS/TRACS light coming on intermittently is typically the ABS module, which is mounted to the ABS hydraulic motor/valve assembly. You might also be experiencing intermittent Speedometer gauge performance, too. What are you driving?
