Default Help with codes!

Hey Tech or anyone else, I took my car in to the Volvodealer to get the oil trap replaced because it was clogged up and the mechanic said that could cause my CEL's I was getting because the engine couldn't breath. He said it was still a 50/50 shot on wether the Cat. was still good or not. Well I still keep getting the P0333, knock sensor 2, P0328 knock sensor 1, and P0422 main catalyst efficiency. I know you have sugested that it might be the injectors, if it is how can I check to see if they're bad or not? B1S2 O2 sensor fuel trim is still at 99.06%. What I'm trying to avoid is buying a Cat. and then finding out the injectors are bad or buying injectors and finding out the Cat. is bad. Thanks for any replies, Kevin

By the way, I'm not worried about the O2 sensor at 96.06% anymore because I had to hook up the lap top to my mom's Cougar last night and it says the same thing. Kevin

I can only tell you from what I have done.
No real way to tell.
We kept getting those codes for Months before Volvo finally told us to replace the injectors.

Out of the About 50 cars I have put injectors in only 1 ever had a bad cat and injectors.
They waitied 1.5 years before replacing them. It wiped out the cat.

Wow, I have no idea how long this car has done this beforeI bought it! I bought it with 78k miles on it and now has 91k miles and I've been getting this code the whole time while getting the run around with the dealers on what it is. I hope it's not been too long and ruined both? I might try buying the injectors first since they arecheaper.
Thanks, Kevin

That would be the best Idea.
Hopefully the cat isn't trashed.

The story on how we found out about the injectors being the problem is because we have a Volvo Rep's car and kept getting the code. Installed a new cat the code came right back finally they told us it was injectors bad.

Thanks Tech, I called Evolve earlier about the lbs./hr. the factory injectors are and the gentelman didn't know but gave me the presidents e-mail and said theirs a good chance he would know. Hopefully I'll find out and be able to get some from Summit Racing alot cheaper like the Ford Racing ones for $200+ instead of $115 apiece for Volvo ones which are also Bosch. If I find anything out I'll let you know.

Thanks for the help, Kevin
