how do i disengage the clutch on the a/c compressor

Exclamation how do i disengage the clutch on the a/c compressor

i need to find out what wire and where it is that i need to disconnect on my ac compressor so i can have a free spinning pulley. my compressor is going out and i just cant afford to buy a new one. if anyone knows i would greatly appreciate the information. i go to college full time and i dont have a job... i have 1200 $ to last me for 3 months. any info would help. thanks people

you already have a thread on this - no need to start a new one.

As i said, download a VADIS torrent and install on your computer - that will give you all the information you need to know any more.

i would make an overarching recommendation that an S60 is NOT a good car to own as a college student.

well it was given to me... i didnt buy it and its old. looks nice but its starting to go. im going to get rid of it in the spring. its an 04.. has about 140 on the miles. i just need it to last me till spring.

ok so i figured out how to bypass the ac compressor till i can get it fixed. you need to have a 42 1/2 belt in order to do this... it wont change anything other than the length and the fact your ac compressor wont run lol... also i found out that it might only be the pulley and not the compressor and all i have to do is turn it to find out. if it turns and it makes a noise its the bearings in the pulley.. if not.. then it is infact the comprssor, which is a nightmare . so anyone out there with a 2.4 in their s-60 having compressor issues... this is the answer... i looked forever to find a diagram. i couldnt attain one so i just put the ol noggin to work and figured her out. thansk for the help anyone gave and i hope i did some good...
