How does this timing belt look?

The 2000 V40 would have had green coolant from the factory. It wasn't blue until later.... I want to say 2008 but I am not 100% sure when we started seeing it and the bulletin is long gone. Almost every old 40 series I see has coolant that has begun to break down and turn yellowish/clear. If yours is blue, it has been flushed (not that there is anything wrong with that)


I agree though, I recommend OEM for pretty much anything.

I think I might try draining the stuff that's in it now and refilling it with the OEM stuff.

I always like to change all of the fluids in any used vehicle I buy.
