My 01 S60 has the Service light on after the I start the car and go away few minutes after driving. I believe this is the service light that gets triggered by mileage. I do my own oil change so I want to reset the light, could anyone tell me if there is an easy way to do this without buying a volvo reset tool?

Please search the S60/V70 or S80 section and you will learn how to do it.

 

It's a series of key turns in combination with depressing the mileage button (the one on the dash that resets the mileage to zero)
Seriously. We printed it out at home.
