I have an 05 S60 R with manuel transmission. My Switch will not turn past the first spot. I can turn it from 0 to 1 but no further. Feels like something is locking the switch up. Not sure if it is a switch issue or maybe something like the clutch idiot switch is bad and locking the ignition switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No answer for sure yet. I did call a dealer and from what I am telling the service advisor, he thinks it is the key cylinder itself. I think the same from the way it feels so I have one ordered. Should be here Wedn. I'll let you know if that fixes it.

 

New mechanical switch finally got here and that was the problem. took about 40 minutes if that to take the old one out and put the new one in.
