I'm a newbie with Brake issues!!!
03 S60;
I've just replaced the front pads & rotors. I removed the wheel assembly's, calipers & rotors. I then compressed the pistons using a clamp & the old pad & continued to swap the parts& reassemble everything!!! I've done this on many different vehicles & run into no issues but on my car the pedal isvery soft now & I have very little brake power!
I bled the stem at all four wheels now three times; two with the handheld vacuum bleeder & one with someone pumping the brakes then holding the pedal as I release the pressure at the bleeder valve on each wheel!!!
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???
Thank you for any advice& your time!

How do I know the proper way to install them & are we talking about the clips which are located on the front of the calipers or more along the lines of the shims with the spring clips inline with the pistons?
Can anyone possibly post a pic on here of their wheel assembly so I can see the position of their spring clips??? I've done a few different searches & I'm having a bit of trouble finding a very clear pic of it however I did check mine out & they were a little loose; almost to the point where the tips of them were falling out of the front of each caliper leading me to believe my positioning on them is almost definitely wrong however it "looks & feels" correct! Upon driving the car after pushing the tips in, the brakes work a little bit better & very obviously but they still haven't returned to normal! The spring clips have bumped back out a little on each caliper so I'm wondering if I need to start from scratch and install the clips before remounting the calipers to the rotor/wheel assembly??? I definitely think you guys are on the right track here but it's still not 100%!
ANYTHING is greatly anticipated and even more greatly appreciated! I don't want to keep pushing stupidity & risking having something happen as I'm still driving it! No choice about driving it so I gotta fix it!
Thank you for anything and everything!
