Hi folks!

Need help from T6 drivers.

I have a 2015 V60, but this probably equally applies to other vehicles with the T6 engine.

When I accelerate under about 1/3 throttle, at around 2k to 2.5k RPM, there is a resonance sound coming from the intake.

I spent a lot of time with my local Volvo dealer trying to diagnose the issue, but they were not able to find the source. They test drove another T6 and said the noise was there also.

Is anyone else hearing this strange sound? Part throttle, 2k rpm ish.

Did you ever figure this out? I have a 2012 s60 t6 and have this same sound coming from the intake.

 

Turns out this sound is normal, but if still drives me nuts every time. It only happens when the temperatures get cooler. Just have to live with it.
