I have a 2000 S80 T6. When I stand on it, it sounds like something is whining. Almost like a belt sqeel. Is this a normal sound that the turbo's make, or is this the sound of a turbo gone bad. The car also seems to cut out at high rpms, also as if the turbos are going out. Anyone have any suggestions.

I would check the condition of all the rubber hoses for the turbo system.

Sounds like there might be one with a hole in it or a leak.

 

Tech, thanks for the info. Do you know if this is a common problem. Is there a particular hose that rubs on something that I might check first?

 

NO not reall none known to rub or anything.

Or sometimes a clamp left loose and then it leaks.

Check out all that stuff.
