intermittent stalling and cluster problems
i have a 2004 n/a 2.4l s60, manual,
i have a couple problems that i cant find the cause, first one happen to me twice, when im driving everything is fine and come to a stop a the red light the car idles fine but when i touch the gas the car stalls, i can start it again and it will idle but stall again , and again, no matter how many times i restart it, but my first reflex was to unplug the battery and plug it back, and doing so the car goes back to normal, i did this both times and fix the problem.
second thing is this intermitent p0106 code i get, on and off, MAP sensor, i checked the vaccum lines and even check the data of the engine while driving with a scanner and couldnt find anything odd, so now i just erase the code when it pops up so it doesnt affect my gas milage like when its on, i belive the sensor is not the problem as i have seen on other threads.
my last problem, happens most when its very hot or humid outside, while im driving the fog light come on and off by its self , and usually little time after that i have both the abs and brake cluster lights come on and a message that says brake failure-stop safely, stays on for about 3 seconds, then the whole cluster shuts down and the speed and rpm falls to 0, but the car still runs with no problem, usually i just turn the key off and on still while driving(since its a manual transmission) and everything is back to normal, i have checked my battery and it was good, could find no codes for this with vida and when this happens i get a message saying SRS AIRBAGS SERVICE URGENT, i can erase it and doesnt come back until the problems happen again, i have checked my battery connections and the computer connections next to it in the trunk, no corrosion or problems there either but i found out that if i drive with my rear seats down ,windows open and the computer exposed in the truck(removing trim) the problem happens very much less, im suspecting either the module overheats, or since when its humid out shorts happen more because of the air density i might have a short in the trunk area, any grounds or connections i should check? and might engine grounds cause such problems? the ones on my car seem solid but they are not in exellent shape
