Default Key and FOB Reprogramming

Hi there, just joined so I thought I would start with a "Chestnut" that seems to be fairly popular.

I have recently aquired a 2001 S60 2.3 T5 (Imported from Singapore to NZ as is the trend currently to get hold of reasonably priced European cars) . Only one key set however(one Master and one Keyless)!!!!!. The dealer supplied option down here is OTT @ NZ$300-400 just for a transponder key and programming?#$?!! Have been doing a bit of homework but need to find the service manuals relating to reprogramming so that I can at least foot it with the dealers when I am trying to beat a decent price out of them.

Has anybody found any definitive reprogramming guides??

By all accounts I will be looking to buy any parts offshore as with the keys, parts require "drug money" to fund from the local dealers!!! appreciate any pointers to the prefered parts suppliers.

Cheers
GB

Black 2001 S60 2.3 T5 (and loving it so far!!)
