Default Lock confirmed lights?

Hello,

First time poster here, been sifting through infromation and can't seem to find the answer to this very specific question...

First let me tell you what I have for a vechicle...

2004 S60 2.5 AWD Turbo (sports edition)

Ok,
I recently had some work done to my car.

When I got my car back, I realized when I used my remote lock for the first time, the indicator lights (front and back directional lights) didn't blink at me, letting me know the car is locked.

All I hear is the car being locked, and no lights associated with it at all.

Also,
When unlocking my car, the dome light should come on slowly. This doesnt, it only comes on when I open the door.

As you can see this is very frustrating.

I want to know if there is any sort of advanced settings, maybe through the text window, where you could scroll through settings for your car?

This would be very helpful information!

Thanks for reading.

A number of things happened...

First I got a NAV installed. (worked perfect after)

Then I let my friend borrow my sweet perfect baby.... and....BOOM.....Hit a rock wall......10,000 dollars later and a list of new parts including

Bumper front and rear
2 Xeon highlights (1,100 a peice from volvo)
fog light
mic brackets and holdy thing-a-majig's
new paint job

They said the SRS warning light was on in the text display area, fixed that with a computer, now everything is perfect besides this light problem....

It would be Ok but I am completely **** about my sweet volvo.

I have the same issue with a 2004, S60 AWD. The car was in an accident where a 1/2 ton backed into the front of the car and pushed a corner of the truck's raised bumper into the rad, intercooler and A/C area. $11K of repair and now arming the car produces no visual indication.

I've now dealt with 2 dealerships to get this resolved. The last dealership told me that this car doesn't have a visual indication when arming the alarm. Funny, but it did before the accident. I've lost some respect for the local dealership, again.

The rest of the lights perform normally, ie: the interior lights work fine when arming/disarming.

Thanks for the reply....

Funny that the dealership told you that the indicator lights didnt work in the first place!

Man thats sad...."Your wrong mr. volvo driver"

Terrible customer service........"I cant find out whats wrong so lets lie to him"

So.

11,000 in damage, you beat me!

I checked all my fuses today, under the hood, under the driver dash, and in the trunk. All were normal.

My dome light has started to work again.

So the only problem I have is the same as yours, No lock confirmation lights!

I feel we need a volvo computer to scroll through car settings....

WE NEED HELP!!!!

Any lights stay on inside the car?
Did they send to Dealer?
If they replaced a door or something like that it might have needed software which it didn't get.

I'm suspecting that it is a simple matter of a download. I was surprised when the dealership indicated they didn't want my money for the download, but cows are flying, somewhere, I guess.

Titanium, I wasn't trying to beat your repair cost, really! I kind of flipped when I saw the bill. To top it all off, I had to get my insurance company to go after the original repair shop (A Volvo dealership in another province where the accident occurred) to get the repairs completed correctly. The issue of the non-functioning visual arming indicator is the sole remaining problem. I was without the car for well over a month and had to have it shipped from Ottawa to Winnipeg when it was originally repaired. I'm glad I had some spare S60's... I do nearly all of my own work on the cars, too.

I've now been through the car thoroughly and can say that I'm satisifed with the repaired repairs, except that the darn lock indicator lights don't work!

Yes, I've even tried slamming the hood a few times...
