when i click the lock button on the key fob, the exterior lights flash. this makes sense as it lets you know that it is actually locked.
in many cars this is combined with a beep of the horn.
however they do not flash when i unlock.
it would be helpful (i.e. in a parking lot where you forget the location of your car)... if the lights could be made to flash when UNlocking.

does anyone know how to do this?

my 2 prior volvo's worked like the way i'd like this new one to.

I have the same complaint! Same thing with the fog lights, you have to turn them on every time you start the car. Wish I had the answer...sorry

 

if you're looking to find your car without using panic, press unlock then lock and it will flash once as if you were locking it. thats what i do.

 

the dealer can re-program that function...
