Default Looking for advice on multiple issues - 2006 S60 AWD

Hi everyone, I wanted to throw this out there because I am suspecting that maybe my entire rear electronic module may be having problems...

2006 Volvo S60 AWD with 235,000 miles on it

I have several things that are plaguing me with this car which I have attempted numerous times to fix unsuccessfully and I'm wondering if they may not all be coincidental at this point:

1. AWD does not work
  • pulled the propshaft out, removed haldex pump and filter - pump was full of crud. rebuilt pump and put new filter in - put back together - filled with correct fluid - no AWD
  • removed haldex module, replaced with used one with exact same numbers off ebay which the seller claimed was a good unit - no AWD
  • put car up on 4 jack stands and put the car in drive so fronts were spinning, then put 12v to pump and I can hear the pump running but still no AWD
2. Rear Parking Assist is quirky - gives off random short and long false alarms whenever the car is put into reverse
  • replaced all 4 sensors with several several new sets (last time was with authentic Volvo sensors) - same random beeps
  • replaced parking assist module with used one off ebay which the seller claimed was a good unit - same random beeps
3. Gas gauge works intermittantly - sometimes shows correct amount of gas, other times shows completely empty - usually showing empty after filling the car - when gas level is lower - usually shows correct amount of gas

Would anyone suspect the Rear Electronic Module? If so, are these something average joe can do on their own successfully?

Thanks!

1. Here is a good article that can help you with Troubleshooting Volvo AWD problems. It could simply be a fault code in the AWD module that needs to be cleared.
2. No idea.
3. Could be the central electronic module. Known to fail. Or the instrument cluster itself going bad.

Find a fellow Volvo enthusiast with VIDA and have it scanned... start there

1. While up in the jack stands, you did not state if the driveshaft was turning...(implied but not stated)... so angle gear is good??
2. No idea.
3. Could have a iffy ground or short that grounds it out... look under the read sheet. Also the PEM on the passenger side of the trunk MAY (not sure at all about this) could be involved.
