After having the fuel door hinge break on me, I was getting set to order the new part, but was continuing to drive the car. Well, being the idiot that I am, I filled up last night and long story short the fuel door fell off. I've searched the roads i took getting home but to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions on how to attack the problem.

I assume I can purchas a new fuel door and hinge from a dealership, which sounds expsensive, but i've also seen people put chrome aftermarket fuel doors on their vehicles as well.

I'm open to suggestions!

Sorry about the problem.

I would try...

- Junk yard.
- Aftermarket replacement.
- A skilled aircraft sheet metal technician who can duplicate one with aircraft-quality aluminium.
- Dealer.

I had to buy a new one at the dealership. Primed it cost about $65 I think. Will get it painted by a friend of mine and then install.
