Default Low pressure port on A/C in an 02 S60???

Is the low pressure port located under the power steering resevoir? I need to add a can of 134a to my car and I'm having a hard time locating it. Don't want to hook to the high side by accident. A/C is working, just not as cold as it once was. Thx.

This instruction isfrom VADIS for the S60 AC refill.

Picture 2 shows the AC high pressure and low pressure. As the high pressure is shown in picture 1 it would appear that the low pressure is the rearmost. I have not checked in the engine compartment so don't know which is under the power steering reservoir.

Wow, filling on the high pressure side??? Never done it like this on my other cars. I think I'll leave it be. I checked the temp at the vent with a digital therm. and I was reading 49*F when the compressor is on and 52*F when its off. Thats low enough for me.

Thanks for the pics Bill.

I agree that it seemed radical using the high pressure port but further checks on VADIS show the same info for all the newer cars.

It doesn't bother me because our 'nanny' government has stopped the sale of AC refill kits on safety grounds. Now we have to pay someone to do it.

However, I have done some more digging and you may find this of interest: http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/cha...?p=27705#27705

It is for an S80 but the VADIS instructions are the same as the S60.
