Hello Everyone,

I have a Volvo S60 AWD 2004 edition and it's been making a weird sound lately when i turn the wheel all the way. The sound only comes when I make a extreme turn (like a U-turn), where I push the gas. It stays for a while even after i've straightened the wheel; however, goes away after 2-8 minutes.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced and similar problem and more importantly what was the issue. I don't want to go to my dealership without knowing what might be wrong with it because I've noticed they over charge and change things that realy don't have an issue with them.

Please help.

Low on fluid?

 

I'm guessing you're referring to the power steering fluid. I am not sure how to check that actually, any clues? Thanks.

 

I hear you on the dealer thing. I did a quick google search in my area and found a really cool shop that works mostly on Volvo, Saab, and BMW. They had a nice wharehouse/shop that you drive into and they seemed pretyt reasonable. While they will still charge an arm and a leg, they are more customer friendly. I would look one up and give them a call. Might be worth it.

 

Remove the cap on the steering fluid bottle it has a dipstick in the cap.
