Default New Volvo owner, no idea what these buttons do?

Just bought a s60 and there are two buttons that I have no idea what they do. One of the buttons says "BLIS" and the other is an "A" with a half circle around it, I couldn't find any info in the manual

BLIS button assumedly turns the system on/off:
"The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) gives you greater awareness. The radar sensors installed inside the rear of the car scan a large area behind the car. A small light beside your rear-mirror turns on when a car or other vehicle is in your blind spot."

Other "A" is Automatic Start/Stop. Stole it from the Germans. When you are at a stop light, the engine turns off to save fuel. When you hit the accelerator, it starts the engine and you move. A buddy's 2015 Audi A6 has it, turned it off. To me, it's like cranking on a limited-life starter more times than needed.
