I have a '01 T5 automatic and usually when you put the pedal down to pass someone the transmission will downshift into a lower gear to put you in a better power-range. I tried doing this a couple times yesterday whilst on a roadtrip and I got nothing. It just stayed in the same higher gear - even when I floored it. The transmission shifts well, so it can't be a transmission issue, can it? I was thinking maybe the software update?

 

Possible needs update of software or there is a code stored in the computer.
