Noise on uneven road
I noticed these days that my Volvo S60 had some noise when I drove on any uneven road. The noiseseemed to come from somewhere behind my ear. I removed everything in the trunk and back seats but the noise was still there. Also, when the clutch hits the biting point(this is a manual car), meaning the car starts to shake a little, I can also hear this noise. The noise is like: Z..Z..Z, not very loud but annoying. Does anyone know what the problems can be? Suspension, Engine mount? thanks!
I have the same issue I think. I have a 53 Reg s60 2.0T and Ihave a noise from the rear drivers side that sounds like something vibrating.
I emptied out the boot and spare tyre etc but it was still there. I then thought it may be the 'floor' of the boot rattling so i lined it with foam round the edge and it was still there so I tried taking that out as well.
Still the noise continues. My local dealership is stumped but one of the mechanics said he has heard the same complaint before. I read on another forum that it may be the hand brake linkage?
Any other ideas anyone?
