Oil change - how many miles
Ok sorry if this starts an oil war.....it sometimes does on other car sites. I haven't asked the question with our Volvo.
The manual says oil change every 7,500. I use part synthetic. What do most people do --- change at 7500 or earlier. I normally feel that 5000 is the long marker but it the manual says 7500 v--- why not go that long. Plus using the part syn makes me feel a bit safer going 7500.
What say ye?

Depends how is the car driven. Short trips daily calls for more frequent oil changes, I'd say 3-4000 miles. That's because the PCV system gets killed by short trips.
Regular long highway trips can do with 6-7000 miles. Given the semi-synthetic oil.
That 7500 miles is rather optimistic and certainly not adapted to short trips even with fully/semi-synthetic oil.

My wife uses the car and travels 60 miles a day commuting on 95% highway. A bit of a daily traffic back up at some point but mostly @70 MPH. I'll probably go 6,000 or maybe a bit more.
That 7,500 in the S60 Maintenance Schedule does seem an optimistic number and I was surprised to see such a high number.

I already have one of their kits that I was going to use on another car but I think I'll use it on her car.
