Default Oil filter location?

Can someone help me locate the oil filter is in the engine bay? I used top sider to pump out the oil from my BMW without jacking up the car for oil changes because oil filter can be accessed from top. Is the filter in Volvo underneath the engine?

thx

MC

Yes it should still be located underneath the car. It is under a black housing in the oil pan.

Be very careful when removing that cover. it is plastic and can be broken if you are not careful with it. Purchasing the specific oil filter wrench for the car is a good investment. I also purchased an extra plastic cover/filter housing just in case I break one while changing my oil.
