Hey guys,

Trying to figure out this leak. I fixed the leak from the oil drain plug, but only to notice this leak is quite bad. Hearing it could be a rear main seal or maybe i need to clean my pcv system( either way probably could and it would help) but it looks like the oil is coming from a bolt. Have a video of the link which i posted on SweedSpeed for help also.

That bolt does have thread sealant on it, but I doubt that is the problem. More likely a failed rear main seal, which could be due to a clogged PCV system. Could also be the rear cam seals leaking down.

 

Okay cool, any way to test which one it is causing the leak?

 

Remove the bolt, clean it off and apply new thread sealant. Clean the oil from the area. Install the bolt. Check the crankcase for pressure. If there is pressure, service the PCV system.

Visually check the rear cam seals.

If it keeps leaking, it's the rear main.
