Default oil smell - cabin

I bought a 2016 S60 Premier with about 30K miles and i notice engine/oil smells in the passenger compartment when stopped at a light or idling. The smell goes away when i put on the AC and recirculate the air. Is there anything to worry about here?

for a car that new there shouldn't be an odd smell like that. Has your tech looked around for an oil leaks or spotting on the driveway? Have you checked the cabin air filter and the intake as well? I suspect some oil may be dripping onto the exhaust or turbo etc..

Yes there is oil spotting so that may be it. I haven't checked the cabin air filter but will be taking it in soon for a 30K service. Thanks.
