Opinions Please
Asking this question makes me nervous. I feel like I should knock on some serious wood...
<exhale> here goes.....
I have an '01 s60 non turbo with 62k miles on it. I am an avid, responsible, oil changer. Every 5-7k miles, without fail.
When the "Time for Service" Light comes on, I invoke the pattern, turn the key and press the odometer **** till it goes away.
I did have the front brake pads changed once. Other than that, and oil changes, and the fuel pump recall, I have never had any service done to the car. I have never needed to, nothing has ever gone wrong.
I will be taking the car into Volvo to get a luggage rack installed when I need another oil change. This is my attempt at not having to purchase an SUV.
I am wondering if there are any services that anyone would highly recommend I get done to my vehicle. Is it safe to "leave well enough alone"? Or am I really just setting myself up for a larger failure down the line.
Any opinions are appreciated.
Thanks

okay, please tell me why, besides the fuel filter, I cant just do all this myself.....
They are going to want a fair amount of $$ to simply drop a bunch of new filters/plugs into the car.
Plus, having my fuel pump replaced recently, under the recall notice, didn't they change my fuel filter then?
thanks

No they would not have changed the filter.
You can do it all yourself. Most Dealers will want over $600.00 for the service.
Go to FCP Groton and buy it all and install yourself.

For my 60K service they also flushed the brake and cooling fluid. I also have an AWD so they adjusted it components also. It ran me $600 as mentioned. You should change the brake fluid. I had a 940T that starting having brake pistons stick at 8 years old.
