Default P0089 code fuel pressure regulator

My 2012 S60 T5 2.5 liter’s check engine light is on. The code that comes up is P0089 and it says the “fuel pressure regulator 1 performance”. I’ve changed out the fuel pressure sensor. I don’t think my Volvo has an external fuel filter, or at least I couldn’t find it anywhere and it appears I have a metal fuel tank. I’ve noticed no issues driving it and I’m not sure of what else it could possibly be. Any help would be appreciated.

How many miles are on the car? If you clear the code does it reappear or randomly over time? It could be several other things - a car voltage issue (make sure the battery is maintaining 12.6+ V ), ground wire issue, connector to the sensor, wiring to the pump, the pump itself etc.

It’s at 86,000 miles. I’ve had no issues before this and it gets a regular service. The code usually reappears after I drive the car around on and off for a few hours. The light doesn’t come back on right away, no jerking, stalling, or any other performance issues; the light just won’t turn off.

is there a correlation to how much gas is in the tank? does it seem to happen the same when driving around full vs empty?

it happened when the tank was full and when it was half empty.
