Hey guys new with volvo and decent DIY guy. So recently I was driving my 2007 S60 T5 around when an issue occurred where i got a reduce engine performance message appeared. I pulled over and put the car in park and saw it was idling at about 1500rpms. I turned off the car and pop the hood and I didn't see any issues. So I sat in the car for 30 mins then reset the code hoping it was gonna fix it. Kinda did now I have a P0101 code on. I check the live run of the car and for MAF I had 0.8g/s.... I'm don't know what the issue is or could be. Any help would be appreciated.

 

As a dealer selling used Volvos, we find this code on about 1/20 of the cars. We start with a throttle body cleaning which we do on all of our vehicles and then check for the basics. When I have this code accompanied by a fuel trim code, I replace the mass airflow sensor.

Start by pulling the throttle body and cleaning both sides so that the bore and butterfly valve are gleaming. Then see if the code repeats itself.
