Default P2187

I recently took out and cleaned my throttle body and now 2 days later the check engine light turned out and had two codes p2187 and p0507. Could It be that when taking or putting back the throttle body I hit a hose and ruptured it and that's why it has those codes?

Did you replace the gasket for the TB too? It is one of those gaskets that, I personally, like to replace every time the parts are separated.

But yes it is possible you might of knocked something loose. There's quite a bit of hoses going in that area.

What Year S60?

The car is a 2003 and no I didn't replace the gasket because the dealer was closed but I will pick one up today and I guess I will also check the hoses in that area when I replace the gasket. Also the gasket didn't look bad.

Did you remove the banjo bolt on the bottom left side of the intake (when facing the car)? Those use 2 crush washers and those would also need to be replaced when removed.

No, I just remove the 4 bolts that connect the throttle body to the intake manifold.

Is your car the 2.4L with no turbo? So the throttlebody is on the side of the intake? I was thinking of the turbo S60s.

I would just verify the hoses in the area are in good condition and that the intake from the air box is on snug.

Also I just checked the hoses and they don't seem to be leaking, but where the throttle body is there seems to be oil (I don't know if that's normal)

No its not normal to have oil like that on the outside. Usually happens from a failed seal nearby. The inside of the intake will have small amounts of oil residue, that is normal. Inspect the area to find the source, maybe that TB gasket I mentioned earlier?

Also looking at that photo, do you have a hose clamp on that tube from the intercooler connecting to the bottom of the TB? I don't see one and there is supposed to be one there.

I haven't checked the seals to see if they are leaking, as to the gasket for the tb I bought it but I get it until Tuesday, and the tube only has two clamps (one where the tb is and the other where the intercooler is) I don't see another on in the middle as you said.

Here is where im talking about, there should be a clamp here. This would be the TB clamp. as long as you have a clamp at each end of that pipe/tube, then all is in order.

Oh that one, when I put the tb back I also put that clamp back, I'll check it later though.
