Default Park Assist System Temporarily Unavailable

Hey everyone,

Not having any luck getting help with this, please tell me what I can do!!
I'm suddenly getting 2 messages that seem to be related: "Start/Stop Support battery Service required" and "Park Assist System Temporarily Unavailable." Are they linked somehow? If I replace the support battery will both issues be resolved? Also, could I replace it without much hassle? I really don't care much for the Start/Stop but I do rely on the Park Assist. Thanks in advance for any help!

You would need to get the car scanned by a scanner that can talk to all the modules to see what is causing the park assist to be unavailable and if the two are related. Plus you will probably have to reset the battery sensor when you replace the start/stop battery anyways, if that is the issue.

With my '20 V60CC, I have found if the main battery is not fully charged, i.e. after many short duration trips, the car will display these same messages. After a longer trip, where the battery becomes fully charged or alternately connecting to a battery maintainer, the messages no longer appear.

You need a new Support Battery. You can get them for around £80 (Halfrauds and so on) or from your Main Stealer for around £104.32 (I know, I just got one).

As I understand, when you put new battery in, which is really easy to do, it can take a few miles for the system to 'learn' the new battery capacity before the message disappears and apparently you don't need VIDA or anything like that to reset it, it just learns.

The Park Assist is somehow linked with the Support battery capability and Stop Start system and so when the battery is failing, so does Park Assist. A new battery brings PA back to life

A battery something like this one (check it's suitable for yours first) Support Battery

Cheers
