Hello forum, new guy here.. might be an owner of an S60 soon.

Anyway, I'm going insane trying to find pictures of factory xenon headlights. The 2001 S60 T5 I'm looking at supposedly has xenon headlights, but from what I can tell they're normal headlights, possibly an aftermarket kit installed?

I've been searching literally for hours on the web trying to find some freakin pictures of the factory xenon headlights so I can compare. I'm almost certain they're not factory, so I just want to put my doubts to rest...

Any help here? Thanks guys...


edit: wait a min, were HIDs even an option for '01??

 

2001 did not come with xenon headlamps that i can recall so it has to be aftermarket. You cannot add factory xenon headlamps to a car that did not have it from the factory. Plenty of sites online can offer you them but watch out getting them cause cops like to give you trouble with them.

 

that sucks. i was hoping i could at least get some from an '04 and install them. man these european cars always have to be so difficult for us don't they?!

i wanted the clear lenses so i could do a retrofit.

oh well, i guess i'll stick with what's installed.. if i get the car that is. checking it out this saturday.
