Plastic popping sound when changing gears
Hi Guys,
Just a quick question. I am finding that sometimes when I change gears, there is a loud plastic popping sound. A couple of times the clutch has got locked in (i.e. wont return) and then stall. Any thoughts
Details of the car are 2002 S60 D5, 63K miles

RE: Plastic popping sound when changing gears
Greetings.
Try visually inspecting for something obvious along the clutch lines, from the pedal linkage to where the linkage/hydraulic lines connect to the clutch housing. Also, check for proper fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir (unless the clutch shares the same reservoir as the brakes).
As I'm an 850 driver, I am don't have much knowledge on S60, so wait till other S60 drivers jump in.
Sorry couldn't help you much.
