Default question about gas

I am considering purchasing a 2004 S60 2.5t. Curious about what grade gas I need to put in. Do I need premium or not? I can't seem to find this info anywhere. Thanks!

My manual says 87 is OK, but 91+ is recommended. I think premium (91+) really runs better, but I've run regular for my daily around town commute without problems.

My 2006 S60 Turbo recommends premium and as a minimum 87 octane.I have been using premium butI am switching over to 87 octane. If it runs without pinging I will stay with it. I am not concerned about losing one or two miles per gallonby not using premium gas.

Ok in Volvo's in general and especially the turbo models highest grade possible should be used. However using Regular will be fine.

The recommend the highest but Regular is ok.

Default RE: question about gas

Hi. I have a similar question. I bought a 2004 base model S60. Does this affect which gas I would use (is premium still preferred)?

Thanks! I have been a Toyota person thus far, but I am going to see if this car turns me on to Volvo
