Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers

Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers
I'm a new owner of a 2015.5 S60 T5 Drive-E Volvo and within the Luxury section of my vehicle's window sticker it lists "Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers."
Maybe this feature is not working on my car. When it rains and I do nothing, absolutely nothing happens with respect to the windshield wipers.
What should happen? What does this feature provide?

After more than a year of owning our car, last week I finally figured out how to use the wipers. Before turning on the wipers, press the button on the right stalk closest to the steering wheel. It will then sweep only when needed. You will also see a symbol on the dash change intensity when it sweeps.

Thanks, Mainesail! My owner's manual does not have an entry for Rain-sensing and the section on windshield wipers does not mention it. You are correct! There's an inner most button on the right-hand stalk that enables this function. On my car, the wipers make one sweep when the button is pressed. A green light then appears on the button and an icon on the lower area of the speedometer appears. The rotary wheel on the right-hand stalk controls the sensitivity of the rain-sensing. When enabled, after the windshield collects a certain amount of raindrops, the wipers activate.
