Hello all, a while back I forgot to disconnect my negative cable before messing with my radio. After that, I received the orange (!) sign with a message that said SRS-Airbag Service Urgent. Last night, that message went away and I no longer have the (!) but now have a red airbag light on. I was wondering if there is any danger of the airbag going off while I'm driving.

 

no the airbag will not deploy, unfortunately the only way to get rid of the red light is to have the dealer reset it, I took my to my friend who has his own shop as I was concerned like you about the airbag he said it was nothing to worry about and that it could only be reset by someone who have the equipment to reset the volvo's, the dealer wants around $100 to reset the airbag light....hope this helps

 

Okay. Thank you. I'll get it reset when I get some cash. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't go off while I'm driving. That would not be cool.
