Default red light district

Ok i was on my way to work in the fine city of lynn when some freakin moron runs a red light and plows my rear quarter panel. How hard is the thing to replace and how do i do it?

I'm a wire head, not a body guy... any help or comment would be really appreciated. Thanks.

How bad is it? If it is a shallow dent you can gently push from the other side or use a plumbers helper (plunger) to pull it out. If the metal has been stretched the repair is more difficult. You do not want to try to beat it out with a ball pein hammer or you will get that attractive "bag of walnuts" look that I see from time to time and always makes me laugh!. In general you go from the shallow side of the dent gradually to the deeper side taking care not to stretch the metal. If you have never done this type of work before get some books on this and with care you can do better than the folks that do this for a living. I have seen alot of shabby repairs from "professional shops" Sorry you got hit but try to take it philosophicly and rember we all make mistakes. Get a few estimates and get a check from his insurance.
