i have a volvo 2017, i purchased used one in aug 2020. the dealership has mentioned there is a problem with cyclinders. I got a quote of approx 1600$ For new cylinders. It was just check engine light on and then this and also they keep mentioning about treaded tires. I just know how to drive car and do not understand this. Is there a way that anyone on this forum tell me my alternate options or should i just resell this car. WhAt should i actually do since there is a 4000$ expense with cylinder and tires to change it.
i have uploaded the screenshot j recieved from dealer. Is there Anything i can do ?

Without further info, the new cylinder deal sounds like a piston ring recall. Do they mention that because your car is burning oil? The volvo engines were burning excess oil due to faulty piston ring design. Info on that recall: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...46443-9999.pdf
They are mentioning your tires because they are a wear item. When your tire tread (the thickness of your tire surface that makes contact with the road) gets too low, they become dangerous because you have less traction.
