Default Replacing 2003 Right side Mirror

I have been doing a little research on the internet, and it appears, most are saying I have to remove the door panel to get to the connector for the mirror when a) I remove the old, and b) when I replace and install the new mirror.
Does anyone on here no of an easier way of getting to it, or replacing the mirror without having to remove the whole door panel? Is there a technique that allows me to get to the connector otherwise?
I have never removed one on this car, but in the past on others, it seems door panels heve never fit as secure as before I took them off? I hate to mess with them if I can help it.

Thanks in advance

You have to remove the panel. Takes me 30 seconds or less so it shouldn't take a DIYer more than a couple minutes.
