S60 2.0 T Brake hissing!!
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could help me with this.
I've noticed over the last few days that everytime I brake there is a hissing sound coming from under the dash board, I've had a look under the dash and noticed that on the actual mechanism for the pedal there is a rubber cover over what I assume is a pump of some sort - vacuum pump maybe? Anyway, the hissing seems to be coming from there, the rubber cover has holes on the front face of it but is not completely attatched at the base - Is this correct or does it need replacing? The brakes themselves feel fine at the moment although I am due for new discs, just wondering if this could lead to problems if I leave it too long. At the moment it's the noise of the hissing thats annoying!! Anything is appreciated.
Thanks
Finchy
